Bike ride today / kayak yesterday

I still haven't figured out new computer so I decided to put current pictures on the old computer (we had a new hard drive put in so it is in use too).  I can get pictures to blog on this one!

Yesterday we went for a paddle in Bluffton.  It was a little windy but not too bad.  Harder paddling away than back to the boat ramp because of wind and tide - try to plan it that way!

 Found a calm area in among grasses to stop & have lunch so we wouldn't be going backwards as we ate.

 After our paddle, we went back, showered up and went to the pool party at the resort - drinks & snacks.  Drawings for prizes - we didn't win any this week.  Visited with a couple from Wisconsin.

Today we drove to the outlet malls, parked and did a 20 mile bike ride in Bluffton.

I think this is a hawk.  There were 2 of them in one area sitting on the fencing.

Nice weather for a ride - in 60's.  Sky got ominous while we were ending our ride and we had a few sprinkles but it was short lived and sun came back out again.

Lazy me!!

We've been in Hilton Head Island, SC since Jan 8th and I haven't done any blogging.  No excuse - just pure laziness.  Be watching for some posts to come!
We left cold temps in Myrtle Beach and arrived to cold temps here but the very next day things started warming up and we had a good 1st week here.

BRR continues

It was cold & very windy here today - supposed to continue for the next few days.  Did go to water aerobics this morning and to a wine & cheese social this afternoon but otherwise just hanging out reading, puzzling, etc.  Even walking the beach is not inviting - would probably blow away.  Supposed to get better by Thursday.  (I did wind up walking up & down 10 flights of stairs when the elevator was being repaired this morning - glad it wasn't when we needed to pack up for leaving!)

1st ride of 2014

Finally had a nice warm morning.  Roads were a little wet from rain but we got a nice 20 mile ride in before lunch.  Rode south toward Myrtle Beach.  Some wind but it was warm - the sun even came out for a bit.  I headed for the hot tub when we returned and Bruce is now watching football.

It is cold & windy here - not like back home though!  Haven't even wanted to walk the beach!  Bruce is enjoying football though.
Had a nice lunch with Ann & Dan Szabo today.  Nothing like having to go to Myrtle Beach to see them!

Happy New Year 2014

We had a nice New Year here. 

I went and did a water aerobics class in the morning and then went for a walk on the beach in the afternoon followed by some time in the outdoor hot tub.

 Bruce enjoyed his day watching lots of football games.

Here he is all comfy with the remote in his hands.

He did take time out to go to turtle races though!
