Hilton Head Bicycle Fun

It was cool in Hilton Head but we did manage to fit in several bike rides while we were there.  Here are some additional pictures from our time there:

Super Bowl

Super Bowl Party here at resort outside at pool on a big inflatable screen.  Snacks to eat too.  I watched the first half out there and Bruce watched the 1st quarter out there.  It was hard to see the ball so he went in to main lobby of resort to watch on HDTV.  

Catch up

Ok....I've been negligent in posting lately.  I went to Apple store last week on a rainy, cool day (yes, we've had a few in FL too) and took a 1-on-1 class and found out how to download my pictures to this blog from the new computer so I shall be catching up on some posts....probably while Bruce is watching the Super Bowl....so be on the look-out for me to catch up and get up to date.

Farewell, Jud

Juson Lincoln

9/15/1920 - 1/21/14

Services for Jud were held yesterday in Inverness.  We went to the service at his church  where he was  recognized and honored for his service in the Sons of the American Revolution, Shriners, Masons and Military Officers Assoc.

Jud was a retired Major in the Airforce (and a history teacher) so he also had a military service at FL National  Cemetery in Bushness, FL where he will be buried.

A nice tribute.  We have many fond memories of Jud.  He and his wife Barbara summered up in Canada Lake.
Rest in peace Jud.  Barbara, our thoughts are with you.

Packed & ready

Hope everyone up north is staying warm.  It is cold here too though not that bad!  In 40's today and breezy.  We spent today reorganizing and getting the trailer & car packed.  We leave for Orlando tomorrow morning.  (Only supposed to be in the 50's there! - but warming up the next day).

BRR here too

I'm looking at the temps back home today and not feeling a bit bad that we are only in the 40's.  Too cold & windy for a kayak so we're just hanging out - building puzzles, playing BOGGLE & reading.
Went to  coffee & doughnut social this morning and chatted with a nice couple from Wisconsin.
Also organizing some of our stuff for packing up tomorrow.  We are keeping the trailer at a storage place because they are not allowed to stay on property.  Will pick it up tomorrow afternoon though so we can pack it for our trip to FL on Friday morning.
