Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!

Zoe is a Pilgrim (one of her school costumes)

Darren trying to be a Pilgrim!

We covered the table and the children decorated it for our table covering.

Our pretty table.

Let's celebrate!

Zoe and her Mom read a poem about the first Thanksgiving using a bead necklace.

Blessing is sung,  so let's eat!

Turkey, ham, beats, mashed potatoes.

Stuffing, gravies, cranberries, rolls.
YUM!  YUM!

Pictures by Noah

I was taking pictures of Noah & Eli with their hats on.  Noah wanted to take some pictures with my camera - these are some shots he got.  Not too bad of a photographer!

 Uncle Jack (Bruce's brother)

Grandma (with the Happy Meal Box for a hat!)

Aunt Dottie (Jack's wife)

Grandma (with a newspaper as a hat)
Grandma (with Noah's captain's hat)

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving.  Pies are made thanks to Bruce.  Everyone has their jobs for dinner - mine is the stuffing.  We are eating around 3:30 so we decided to eat our pies first (around noon) so we can enjoy them before we are too full!  Feel so blessed to have family here and the noise and activity of the young ones around us.

Busy, busy, busy!

We are still in Williamsburg having fun.  The last couple of days have been cold & rainy so we haven't gotten much outside fun it.  Darren & Tricia arrived around midnight Monday night.  Tuesday we (some of the adults) went to see the movie "Las Vegas" and every day we have been having fun in the pool.

Zoe builds a great road on the hearth.

Grandpa fun

Boys had fun playing with Grandpa this morning and he didn't even need to leave his chair!

Eli thinks a Happy Meal Box is the perfect hat.

After swimming this morning Eli was soooo sleepy.  He did manage to stay awake for lunch though.

Grandpa felt the same way, Eli!

Arrived in Williamsburg

We arrived in Williamsburg yesterday.  Noah & Eli did well considering they did not nap!
It was a nice day so after unpacking we went out and rode bike in parking area.  Luckily there wasn't much traffic and traffic goes slowly.

Eli has the idea of sitting on the seat and pushing now.

Tucked into his "bed " on the floor for the night.

 Night, Noah.

Back to the playground

Yesterday we went back to the playground after their naps and both boys took their bikes.
 Eli and the Stryder bike

He was mostly standing and not sitting on the seat.
When Grandpa told him to "sit down" (meaning on the seat), this is what he did!

Got to play in the leaves some more.

A New Helmet

Today we went to REI to buy Noah a new helmet.  Eli will need one for Williamsburg so he gets Eli's smaller one and Noah has a new one.
Look at the fancy top!
Noah picked it out - it was my favorite one too.

After lunch while Eli was napping,  Noah & I went to the local playground and Noah rode around the basketball courts.  Thought it might help him settle down for a nap later himself - worked!

More fun

Monday & Tuesday were beautiful days here.  Noah went to pre-school on Monday so we put Eli in the wagon and took him to the nearby playground.

Tuesday we took both boys but I didn't have my camera - wished I had brought it since they were having so much fun playing in the leaves there.

This is Clark - one of Noah's friends.  Noah hasn't been able to play with him because he had a boo-boo but Grandma fixed him up and Noah has been enjoying his company again.

We made some leaves and berries so Clark would have something to eat.

Fun with the boys

We arrived at Darren & Tricia's on Thursday morning....been having fun ever since.  Darren & Tricia left yesterday to go on a Caribbean cruise to celebrate their 10th anniversary and we have watch of the boys.  Fun!

I think Grandpa was tuckered Thurs. evening!  (He's napping at the computer.)

Eli thinks he is one of the dogs!

Building houses in the basement playroom.

Noah has some Leggo vehicles with small parts - needs to play with them high so Eli doesn't get them.

Come on Grandma - dumping the toys out is so much more fun than actually playing with them!

They are "poisonous snakes" in the snake pit waiting for me to come and attack them!

There was a little bit of pumpkin in a can in the refrigerator.  Found a pumpkin chocolate chip cookie recipe on the internet that used just the amount we had.  Noah helped me roll them into balls, flatten them, bake them and of course eat some!  Yummy!
