Day of rest

We did 4 bike rides in a row this week with some major (for us) hill climbing.  Had a day of rest today and packed up and then spent the afternoon with some friends we met in Florida last year.
Tomorrow we leave and go to visit Bruce's sister outside Pittsburg for the week-end and then we head for home on Monday.  Snow is gone so it is safe to return!

One of the rides we did this week was in Shenedoah.

Love this pig statue in the flowers _ I think I get this same picture every year!

 Massanutten Mts in the distance.

 See, I am here too!

Can see the Blue Ridge Mts. too.

This critter has been visiting our condo.

Why we like bicycling in VA

The wind finally stopped blowing so crazily and we finally got out for some bike rides.  One of the first rides was a good reminder of why we didn't go out on previous days.  Gusts of winds about blew us off our bikes!

Blossoming trees are all in bloom right now.  Beautiful!

I don't think weeds dare grow in the fields!

Views from the top of Mole Hill.

 Such beautiful farm land!

These cows were following Bruce as he rode up the hill.

Mountains in the background are so pretty.

Sunday we saw several Mennonite buggies out.
This one we passed going up a small incline.

Most of this area in Dayton is Mennonite and the farms go on for acres.
Sure is beautiful!

Massanutten Resort

We are now at the Massanutten Resort near Harrisonburg, VA.
The sun has been shining but there is an active wind warning.
Tried to bicycle yesterday but didn't get too far - no fun with the high winds!
Relaxing & playing some BOGGLE.

Couldn't even hold the camera still in the wind for a picture!

Took a walk in the evening around the resort.
 Massanutten Mt.

 Blue Ridge Mts.

Our condo is a beautiful duplex with a garage.

More fun

 Hugs for Grandpa

Bryce doing squats with his children as weights!

Grandma got "rained" on with paper pieces!

Happy family.
Week in Bellingham went by fast!

Reading

Now that Oscar can read, you will find him with his nose in a book a lot.

Of course, Lars likes to be read to and Grandpa had fun doing that!

Oscar is really into the Harry Potter books right now.

Another project

Bruce helped install a pulley system up to the loft.

Just had to get a picture of this beautiful music room.
